HOTEL BREAKFAST AT THE KNOT HIROSHIMA

MORETHAN is a breakfast venue at THE KNOT HIROSHIMA where you can enjoy a western-style breakfast. I personally really enjoyed this hotel breakfast and highly recommend it. Of course, the food is great, but most importantly, it’s the reasonable price for a hotel breakfast, and the staff are very kind and friendly. The staff paid attention to details; my little boy dropped his spoon many times, and they offered to change it for a new one without even being asked.

ACCESS AT THE KNOT HIROHSIMA

MORETHAN is located on the 1st floor of THE KNOT HIROSHIMA HOTEL, making it a perfect location for sightseeing in Hiroshima, especially if you want to visit the World Heritage sites. The hotel is just a 3-minute walk from Chuden-Mae Station and Fukuromachi Station. It’s only a 10-minute ride from Hiroshima Station by train or bus. You can also easily take a taxi from Hiroshima Station, which costs approximately 1,000 yen.

THE DECOR

The decor and furniture throughout the entire hotel are so cool; I really love this kind of relaxing and simple modern design. There are plenty of table options including a bar counter, round tables, sofas, and outdoor tables. It’s so thoughtful that they provide blankets for guests too.

BREAKFAST MENU

While most of hotel breakfasts are buffet style, MORETHAN is an ordering style. For the morning plate, you can chose one from three different egg plates. If you are planning to stay at THE KNOT HIROSHIMA, I highly recommend to book the room without breakfast then add the breakfast on the site. Its 500 yen cheaper if you pay direct on the site. This is a little hack that some people do not know but I know because my previous carrier was a hotelier.

When you order the morning plate, soup and soft drinks & coffees are included. You can pick them up at the back side of the restaurant anytime.

MORNING PLATE A SET

Shortly after I ordered the plate, the fresh salad and omelet were already on the table! The chef cooks them after the order, but they were quickly delivered, which is very helpful, especially with a toddler in tow! The omelet is so fluffy; I really want to know how they cook it, seriously! The bacon, sausage, and beans are also delicious.

The focaccia took a little time to be delivered because they cook it nicely in a specific oven. My boy and I absolutely love this focaccia. We cannot easily find this kind of authentic focaccia in Japan, so it was very special for us. Eating it with olive oil made it even tastier, but it’s also good on its own.
